I have been an active member of the tennis club for 20 years and a full time member of the coaching team for the last 3 years. I coach all ages and abilities in both individual and group sessions. I am the current Maidenhead LTC Men’s 1st and 2nd team captain.
As a junior I competed at county, regional and national level events. I represented Berkshire numerous times as a junior from U10 through to U18 and am still lucky enough to represent the senior men’s team as well. Some of my biggest achievements as a player include winning multiple Berkshire County championships and winning promotions with the Berkshire County team both as a junior and adult.
I attended Bournemouth University where I matched studying Geography with a tennis scholarship. I played for 3 years and during my time I held roles such as 1st Team Captain and President of Tennis.
As a coach I have worked with the top juniors in the club as well as in the county. Some of my achievements include:
- Working with Berkshire U8, U9 and U10 teams
- I was co-captain of the U9 boys and girls teams that finished 2nd in Nationals in 2022 and captain of the girls U10 team that finished 4th in Nationals in 2023
- I have coached 2 County Champions and have 8 players that have represented Berkshire at various age groups
- I have had multiple players included in the LTA Junior Regional Performance Camps
I love working at Maidenhead LTC and meeting all of our fantastic members on a day to day basis, whether it be the Munchkin classes I’m involved with that start children as young as 4 years old off on their tennis journey, or helping adults rediscover the game in the Rusty Rackets sessions on a Thursday evening.
Outside the tennis club I am a keen observer of a number of sports such as Tennis, Football, Rugby and more, as well as number 1 fan of the best team in the world – Liverpool FC.
